FINISHED AND UNFINISHED

A few of the projects around here of late:

The bookshelves that my father built for us have finally been filled with our books.  And there is room for more - oh joy, rapture!

Although it appears that we're trying to conceal the artwork over our mantel, that's far from the truth: this innocuous wall hanging (coupled with a secondhand projector) is our solution to the great television debacle.  It looks much nicer than a big black screen, and can be put up or taken down at a moment's notice.

I have been very slow in getting things hung on our walls, and even with the artwork in hand it takes me a lot of deliberation to decide what goes where.  This deceptively simple arrangement took me hours to configure.  Mostly because I'm so indecisive.

It would be generous to call this little side table "unfinished" because it really hasn't even been started.  The price was right (if you consider free a fair price) and we plan to repaint it.  Because obviously, one more side project is exactly what we need.
